As seniors entering the last year of high school we have to start answering difficult questions such as do you want to go to college? If so, where? What do you want to major in? What do you want to do in the future? Have you started applying to schools and have you made a resume? With all of these questions being thrown at us on top of our school work and extracurricular activities it can be extremely overwhelming. With that being said my aim through writing these articles is to make the process easier and give advice on the application process.
The first step is deciding what schools you are interested in. The best way to do this is by visiting colleges and going on tours; however, that is sometimes not a possibility especially during the unique times we are living through today. So how do you research schools and find one that has what you are looking for? Many schools have started giving virtual tours. To access these virtual tours sign into your Naviance account and click on the “Colleges” tab to access the home page. From there you will have access to all planned college visits from a variety of schools and you be able to register for the ones that are of interest.
Now that you have an idea of what schools you are interested in, the best thing you can do before beginning the actual application process is to join the guidance Google Classroom. This Google Classroom will provide information on all upcoming events and new information you may need to know as a senior applying to college.
