Bringing Breast Cancer Awareness to CHS

By: Dara Douglas

The month of October is known for many things: Halloween, Columbus Day, and even Hispanic Heritage Month. October most importantly known for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This probably the reason why you have seen so many fellow students wearing pink last month. In support of raising awareness, Skills USA is selling pink hair extensions, through CHS Cosmetology, for the whole month of October. The extensions cost only five dollars for one or seven dollars for two. All proceeds are donated to the Susan G. Koman Foundation. This fundraiser has now occurred for seven years in our high school. If you missed out this year, be sure to check the cafeteria this time next year! Or go down to the cosmetology room during a free period.
