National Honor Society Induction 2016

On the night of March , this year’s round of inductees into CHS’ National Honor Society were inducted, numbering around 70 sophomores and juniors. With an introduction from Mr. Materasso, the officers lit up candles representing the expected qualities of this Honor Society, character, leadership, scholarship, and service. After a roll call of each name, all inductees were given electric candles and concurrently lit them up in a symbolic gesture of entrance. Although previous years actual candles were used, this year’s fake ones were utilized out of practicality, avoiding a fire hazard and quickening the duration of the ceremony.
