This year Trick or Treat Street was a tremendous success. Many children from all of Centereach came in their scariest costumes to extend their Halloween spirit. Pounds upon pounds of candy were given to the trick or treaters. A giant portion of the student body assisted in this wonderful event, decorating the halls in the most festive way possible. Some themes included were superheroes, the Nightmare before Christmas, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Frozen and Despicable Me. Along with this there were traditional Halloween activities. Debate Club and S.A.D.D. Club combined to create a classroom looking like it just came out of a comic book. An exciting game of pin the logo on the Spiderman was played and enjoyed by all. Children were awed by the hanging superheroes and the iconic colored streamers that covered the room. Newspaper and the Literary Magazine combined in order to transform the hallway into a “Nightmare Before Christmas” scene. Photographs were taken of the creative costumes worn by the children who came to share this afternoon with us. They all loved the variety of candy handed out. Overall the event was a success and loved by everyone who attended and will continue annually.
